I think the Songbird may be a little bit too relaxed. Designers love to excuse things like this by saying “Dude that’s dumb, everyone can tell it is music coming out of the headphones.” In reality it doesn’t matter if the user can discern the intent. It still looks like your logo beefed.

Infinite Undiscovery (a recent video game) has shocked me by its ineffectual use of tutorials. Here is an event where a tutorial was used: A carrier pidgeon arrives. A character explains that group X communicates via carrier pigeon. You read the message. A tutorial explains that sometimes carrier pigeons will provide messages from group X.
